Education Organization Alignment with Ed-Fi Core

Story

With the goal of bringing TPDM into the core data model, the Alliance will be removing University and TeacherPreparationProvider education organizations from TPDM. PostSecondaryInstitution and School will be the respective replacements. Adjustments will be made to PostSecondaryInstitution and School so that no loss of functionality occurs.

The following adjustments will be made to the model:

PostSecondaryInstitution (extension)

• Add FederalLocaleCode descriptor (copy from University)
• Add School reference (copy from University) - Adding this field to PostSecondaryInstitution would create a circular reference with school so was removed from code

University

• Remove university.metaed
• Remove any references to university in domains, interchanges

School (extension)

• Add FederalLocaleCode (copy from TeacherPreparationProvider)
• Add AccreditationStatus copy from TeacherPreparationProvider)
• Remove SchoolStatus descriptor

TeacherPreparationProvider

• Remove TeacherPreparationProvider
• Remove StaffTeacherPreparationProviderAssociation (all fields already exist on StaffSchoolAssociation)
• Remove TeacherCandidateTeacherPreparationProviderAssociation (all fields already exist on StudentSchoolAssociation)
• Remove all references to TeacherPreparationProvider in domains, interchanges
