Description
There is a need at the State level to track children that qualify and should be receiving special services that might not be an enrolled student at the district responsible to collect this type of data.
To identify children in the district that are/should be receiving special services and track that they have been evaluated and provided the services they qualify for. States are required to identify/find students that have special needs and provide them the right resources.
The population included in this collection:
- Any child age 0 – 21 (beyond K-12 grades and prior to qualifying to pre-school)
- Students currently enrolled in a School District
- Non-Enrolled:
- Children age 0-3 not yet attending school
- Homeschooled children receiving services from a district
