Enrollment Pipeline Use Case

At CSU to track the enrollment pipeline from applicant to completion we need to track some data elements currently available in credentials that we did not find a suitable place to track.

The current model definition of credential is not meant to track information about what an applicant or a teacher candidate is aiming to complete so this is a bit of a workaround.

For the enrollment pipeline dashboard we track:

• Certification Route

• Academic Subject

• Credential Level

For elements that exist in credentials we are creating credential records with different statuses and linking to applicants, and for the credential level, we are using Applicant characteristics.

It would be useful to provide some guidance on how best to address this use case and if the approach makes sense to update the definition of credential in the data handbook.
