    Description

      Story

Almost everything Texas State does from EPP admissions through graduation is based on TERM, and dates are only used for EPP student acceptance and a few other things. So, coursework, major gates in the program, and everything else I can think of is based on TERM and I don’t see how to accommodate that in Ed-Fi. Term exists in only 2 places anywhere in the system (StudentAcademicRecord, Session). Session is also barely used.

      Notes

While there are more than two places that term exists in Core and TPDM, the point remains the same. We have a number of areas in TPDM that are based on start/end dates and not on term/session. A good example from a call with Jim unrelated to this email we were looking at financial aid, which has a BeginDate as a key value and an optional EndDate, but no term or session
