Description
Michigan Extensions
MI created a new domain entity Educational Entity Master (EEM) to capture additional Ed Org details from MI's EEM system. A subset of these new elements included the Contact sub-entity. EEM ties back to an Education Organization through an Ed-Org reference.
Note that staff reference is the only required piece of info on the contact entity, and many of the elements on the EEM contact seem redundant, however, this model was designed to allow flexibility for how contact info is tracked. The info associated with the Staff member may not be ed-org specific. You would normally look for EdOrg specific data within an assignment or employment record, however there are scenarios where staff ed org assignment or employment records are not applicable (e.g. - you might want the contact person to be an admin at the district who is not directly assigned to the School).
Contact.ElectronicMailAddress might capture an institution's general email address such as "info@abcschool.org"

Nevada has also added Contact Info - Some details:
1. NV captured a contact’s title as something other than what’s on the assignment record
2. There was a significant lag between when contact details are known and staff employment records are loaded – so they add contact details to the ed org’s so those details can be loaded without waiting on employment records - (no staff record/employment record needed)
