Missing Referenced PerformanceLevel Descriptor

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 2.1

      • Problem Addressed: Sample xml file StudentAssessment-StateAssessment-Spring2012 includes references to a PerformanceLevelDescriptor enumeration "Projected to Meet Standard" that does not exist in the default (sample) descriptor file.
      • High-level Reasoning: The sample data will not load with a reference to a nonexistent descriptor enumeration value. No use case was provided to indicate that the value "Projected to Meet Standard" should be added as a default enumeration value.
      • Changes Made: Sample data records in StudentAssessment-StateAssessment-Spring2012 that referenced PerformanceLevelDescriptor enumeration "Projected to Meet Standard" were updated to "Proficient"

      Original ticket description follows:

The existing sample data file StudentAssessment-StateAssessment-Spring2012.xml has 32 references to a PerformanceLevel descriptor with a code value of "Projected to Meet Standard". This descriptor does not exist in the sample file PerformanceLevelDescriptor.xml, and these records will fail to load with an error of "Unable to resolve value 'http://www.ed-fi.org/Descriptor/PerformanceLevelDescriptor.xml/Projected to Meet Standard' to an existing 'PerformanceLevelDescriptor' resource." The descriptor needs to be added to PerformanceLevelDescriptor.xml, or the 32 sample records that reference it need to be adjusted to point to a different descriptor code value.
