Description
Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 2.1
- Problem Addressed: The LevelOfEducationDescriptor includes the enumeration "No Degree", which does not exist as a core map type value. The "No Degree" value is being mapped to "Some College No Degree" but the map type values "High School Diploma" or "Did Not Graduate High School" could also be correct.
- High-level Reasoning: The enumeration value of "No Degree" is already covered in the existing core type enumerations at a different (more specific) level of granularity. The enumeration value is gratuitous.
- Changes Made: Removed "No Degree" enumeration value from core (sample) descriptor file
Original ticket description follows:
There is a descriptor in the Level of Education namespace for 'No Degree'. This is being mapped to the type 'Some College No degree' because there is no enumeration for 'No degree' in the Level of education Types. This missing enumeration for 'No degree' should be added to the core types to effectively capture staff who do not have a dregree rather than including them in 'Some College No degree'.
