Description
Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 2.1
- Problem Addressed: An indication is needed of the school year in which an assessment was administered for the student.
- High-level Reasoning: Currently, the school year of a StudentAssessment must be derived based on the AdministrationDate. This is not ideal, especially for summer pre-test assessments taken for the next school year.
- Changes Made: Added field name “SchoolYear” (of SchoolYear type) to StudentAssessment entity as an optional attribute
Original ticket description follows:
Request from AZ:
To include school year for which that assessment was administered to a student. This could be an additional attribute in the student assessment table and part of the student score file. Right now the only way to derive is from the date of administration which is not really correct especially when you have assessments delivered in June/July/August for next school year (pretests). This could mean having an addition table for storing assessment school years or could be referenced from the Student Domain.
