Description
The description of the design we had after our initial assessment is as follows
1) Create a new entity in the Enrollment domain.
2) Instead of naming the entity Student Immunization, name it Student Health. This will not only to align Ed-Fi with CEDS, but also make the design more future proof considering the fact that we may later want to add more health related attributes in this entity such as allergies and other health conditions.
3) More details on the design:
- Student reference and Education Organization reference as keys
- AsOfDate as a required attribute to store the date of last record update
- RequiredImmunization as an optional common for the following attributes: ImmunizationType descriptor, Immunization Date optional collection, MedicalImmunizationExemption string optional, MedicalImmunizationExemptionDate optional
- AdditionalImmunization as an optional common with following attributes: Immunization name, ImmunizationDate optional collection
- NonMedicalImmunizationExemption descriptor
- NonMedicalImmunizationExemptionDate
4) We can reference the StudentHealth entity either to StudentSchoolAssociation (follows the immunization documentation submission process at the enrollment) or both to Student and EducationOrganization (allows association with different LocalEducationAgency)
