StudentAcademicRecordHonor - AcademicHonorCategoryTypeId being part of the key

Details

    Description

Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 3.0

      • Problem Addressed: The identity of the AcademicHonor common type only allows for one AcademicHonor per StudentAcademicRecord per AcademicHonorCategoryType. This means that a StudentAcademicRecord may only reference one certificate record, whereas in reality, a student may earn multiple certificates.
      • High-level Reasoning: By adding HonorDescription to the identity of AcademicHonor, StudentAcademicRecords may reference more than one AcademicHonor per AcademicHonorCategoryType.
      • Changes Made: Add HonorDescription to identity of AcademicHonor common type.

      Original ticket description follows:
StudentAcademicRecordHonor entity allows having only one certificate record because AcademicHonorCategoryTypeId is part of the key.  NM has a use case where a student will be able to have more than one certificate on top of their diploma.  Ed-Fi does not allow a student to have multiple certificates.  (State Sealed BEP Certificate is an example of NM use case)
