Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 3.0

• Problem Addressed: Prior to v3.0, the model did not sufficiently allow for the capture of partial day attendance.
• High-level Reasoning: By including an optional reference to the EventDuration descriptor on the AttendanceEvent common type and adding a value of "Partial", partial day attendance is more easily captured.
• Changes Made: An optional reference to EventDuration descriptor was added to the AttendanceEvent common type and a descriptor value of "Partial" was added.

Hello,

We have received requests for the data standard to include half day attendance. This has been brought to our attention by multiple clients during Ed-Fi implementations. There is a strong need to capture this data in the ODS and to include it in metric calculations on the dashboard.
