Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 2.1
- Problem Addressed: The current maximum length of 20 for ClassPeriod.ClassPeriodName is too restrictive.
- High-level Reasoning: The maximum length of the field ClassPeriod.ClassPeriodName is too restrictive at 20 and does not meet the needs of some districts. Other title fields in the data standard have a maximum length of 60.
- Changes Made: Increased the maximum length of the shared string ClassPeriodName to 60

This element is currently limited to only 20 characters. This is insufficient for some of our districts' needs. We would like to request it be changed to allow at least 50 characters.
