Description
Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 2.1
- Problem Addressed: The data standard's credential concept does not currently allow for recording of the certificate / license number.
- High-level Reasoning: Credentials issued by credentialing/licensing agencies are very often assigned an identification number for tracking and verification. CEDS currently has a field to capture this data point and various implementations (such as TN) have likely required extension for this.
- Changes Made: Added shared string IdentificationCode named CredentialIdentifier to Credential (formerly a common type promoted to domain entity as part of
DATASTD-940) as part of the identity
Original ticket description follows:
MI TRIG use case for ProfessionalCertificateOrLicenseNumber.
The CEDS model includes this field/column on table PersonCredential as an nvarchar(30) with Description of "The number issued by the credentialing/licensing agency. [CEDS Element: Professional Certificate or License Number, ID: 001429]"
This field was also needed by a TN use case (over a year ago).
