Adding Characteristics to the Applicant Domain

This is a request to add "Characteristics" to the applicant domain in a similar way to the TeacherCandidate domain. Currently the applicant domain contains "TeacherPreperationProgram" which could potentially address candidates who attend our program via our partners; however, this complex type contains required fields that do not ordinarily fit with our applicants. Our partners do not provide grades or majors to our candidates making this element ("TeacherPreperationProgram") not a proper fit for our use cases.

Associating applicants with our partners such as TFA, NYCTF, etc is extremely important for our staff who work with this data. Giving the ability to label them would make it easier for them to know their relation to our partners.

Some examples of our use cases: our Enrollment team uses this to know how many started an application and how many remain per partner in order to contact them. Operations and Campus Deans uses this for budgeting and hiring.

An overall understanding of our applicants based on partners would empower them. Our applicants primarily come to our program via our partners and to allow us to associate them with this would be extremely helpful.
