Description
Summary of outcomes for Data Standard 3.3.0-a
- Problem Addressed: ACT and NWEA are unable to map some Learning Standard data to the current data model.
- High-level Reasoning: Learning Standards in these two assessments are hierarchal and scores applied at each level based on student performance.
- Changes to be Made: Create a new AssessmentScoreRangeLearningStandard entity to tie score ranges (Min and Max) for a LearningStandard, Assessment, and optionally ObjectiveAssessment.
Original Description:
See the attached document for a description of the issue - some providers having difficulties mapping into Ed-Fi due to how they report scores.
In essence, one way to think of this is that a learning standard is broken down into several standards based on how the student performs - the student them meets all standards below that their "score" but does not meet those "above" their score.
