Multiple ways of marking attendance periods may exist

In PowerSchool, Sections are marked for attendance calculation while periods are not.  Another SIS might mark periods for attendance rather than sections and they would want to use this element, which assumes that type of setup.  For us it would necessarily be an ad-hoc calculation based on what sections are scheduled for the period, which will change as section scheduling is modified.
