Participation Descriptors in the Student Language Proficiency Assessments

Question: What are the definitions of Attempted and Completed in the Participation Descriptors in the Student Language Proficiency Assessments resource?

We are wondering what would define a student attempting an assessment vs. completing an assessment. We can track if a student has passed or failed and assessment but we do not track if a student Attempted a test but did not Complete it.
